About SoS 6:3

The Song of Solomon, also known as The Song of Songs, seems to be a well kept secret. There seems to be a trifecta application of it's tale for not only human courtship and marriage but also of God's relationship with His people Israel and Christ's relationship with His church bride. The inspiration for the SoS 6:3 organization, the website and prayer challenge is from this book.

אֱלוּל

"Elul" can be understood to be an acronym for the phrase "Ani L'dodi V'dodi Li" – "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" (Song of Songs 6:3). Elul is seen as a time to search one's heart and draw close to God. Elul is the sixth month of the Hebrew ecclesiastical year and the twelfth month of the Jewish civil year.

The focus of this faith based site is on the intimate relationship between us and God through worship and prayer. Let's see what can happen during the month of Elul when both Jews and Christians collectively seek God, pray, praise the name of Jesus and more together.

It was interesting to realize that the Song of Solomon (or Songs) is also an acronym commonly used to call for help (SoS = sign on signal in military terminology).

In the Song of Solomon (or Songs) a reference is made to "The King is in Field" hence the field backgrounds. Additionally as Christians we know that when the harvest of the gentiles is full that the King will come for His bride.

It is a Jewish custom for the shofar trumpet to blow every morning for the month Elul. What an exciting possibility that trumpets could be sounding worldwide! This is why we have added the trumpet blast in our video but there are many shofar videos on YouTube to choose from should you want to explore. It's also a custom for some to read Psalm 27 hence the reading of a verse in our daily videos.

Please note we acknowledge that as Gentile Christians we are not held to Jewish traditions but those that are beneficial and by choice. It is curious that we used to have something similar in the form of Revival meetings (trumpets optional). I wonder what happened to those?

SoS 6:3 is volunteer prayer ministry and while it may grow into additional services it currently has just one mission - To Pray and enlist as many prayer partners as possible. Please know we are volunteers and not experts of teaching, preaching, websites, social media or anything. It's certain typos will found, links will break, and recordings will not be up to many standards. Your feedback is welcomed and needed.

We are happy at whatever day you can join us so no worries if you found us before Day 1 or after Day 30. What happens after September you ask? We continue to watch and pray. Check back to see updates as we follow where the Lord leads us.

Mainly we just desire to create a forum to get together to pray and the online decoration is just that - decoration. You should know we are not professional web designers or video makers and thankfully none of us have to be professionals to pray!
